Writing is my passion! . Thanks again!

Hello All, I have to say this has been an exciting Summer , as an aspiring writer.  Throughout the social media I have been able to connect with so many authors of all types and gain so much knowledge of how to work on my craft.   I want to say thanks to all my followers on facebook, tweeter, and linked in.  I also have to give praise to The World Literary Cafe (WLC Community) and their platform to pave it forward to aspiring writers such as myself.  Melissa Foster and the many great Authors that I have been able to connect with have been so helpful.  I have to say this platform along with others like the Exhange Fan page, started by Victoria AldridgeWashuk  have allowed me to gain more of a following.  However, there are many authors that have supported me and I want to say Thanks.   Melissa Foster from day one you have only extended yourself and you always encourage authors to pay it forward.   Micheal Rivers thanks for your suport as well, along with Emerald Barnes, Christine Cunn

Battered Mind By Sylvia Stein beginning chapter

Sadie Carlyle awoke in a state of despair when she finally opened her eyes, and noticed that  she was lying in what appeared to be a large hospital bed.   Then,  she  immediately began  screaming very loudly.  She was so out of control that a strong sedative was required to calm her  down.   Her long red hair looked so dry, as the sedative took immediate effect.  It was not too  long before her greenish eyes began to close again, her skin looked so pale as the nurse applied  an soft pillow under her neck.   This had been an intense few day for Sadie.   Her emotions    were so intense that you could see the puffiness in her swollen eyes from all the non-stop  crying.   It was so hard to believe that Sadie was once a very attractive green eyed  red head that captivated a room with her profound beauty.  After a few minutes the nurse noticed  that Sadie was bleeding from her nose.   As this was going on, the nurse quickly called the  doctor .   In

As I sit here and wonder about my life, and what has led to this moment, I can  still recall all the wonderful things that I was able to achieve, I mean I attended law School  at John Marshall in Atlanta, it was where my father attended school.   This is what  he wanted for me all my life to follow in his footsteps. I mean, I came from a very good family- my father being the best criminal lawyer in all of  Atlanta, and my mother one of the most known and most well respected women with all  her involvements in her charity work with the Women of Atlanta which handled all  causes related to The Atlanta Children’s Hospitals.    But you may be wondering is this was  was all supposed to be so easy for me, and I was  going to achieve all of my dreams and attend law school and then become a very  successful District Attorney and eventually find that right person to settle down and  have a family.   Sadly, that did not happen, and I find mysel

New excerpt: Chapter one

The blood was all over the rug, it was a rainy day that May evening.  I could still here the loud  shots as I layed on the ground, knocked unconscious.   As I tried to open up my eyes, I tried to  recall.  what had led me to this moment.  Immediately, I felt my thoughts getting away with me.     “ My Keyla, Please baby girl, be okay” !     Suddenly, I could not breath, “ Oh I thought to myself it finally has happened!   As I started to try  and open my eyes, I heard and officer’s voice calling me.  At first all I heard was really muffled, for a second there I thought I was going deaf.  Then my thoughts went back to earlier in the evening.  “ Sadie, Please, calm down! Please put the gun down”!    I thought to myself what was going on, am I dreaming, is this for real, what happened?   I kept  trying to scream, but I felt so weak.   “ Help me!
