Getting into a routine

Hello all, As I have mentioned before, I am working on my first novel, and I am now doing the drafts on it.  However, I have been struggling with a routine.  My main issue is that I have children, and I work around their schedule.   Lately, trying to get into one has been big issue.   For one, I find that with a 7, 6, and a toddler running around the house all day, I find that when I can work on my book, I am exhausted from all the stuff that has to get done around the house.    I love Writing and I want to keep at it, but sticking to a routine that works has been a little more challengingthese days.   Anyone have any suggestions that have helped? Excerpt

Sadie Martin awoke in a state of despair.  Her eyes were felt like they had been punched over and over again.  As she began to try and open them, she struggled to remember what had happened.    As she began to look around her, she noticed that she was lying in a metal brass bed.   Then, as things began to get more clear, she noticed she was hooked up to some noisy monitors.  As she she looked around the large room, she overheard all the  different voices.   Then she came to the realization that she was in a hospital and immediately began screaming very loudly.  She was so out of control that a strong sedative was required to calm her down.   After all she had bitten one of the new nurses, and it had taken a total of 4 residents along with the head doctor in charge of the emergency room to stop her.    As soon as the sedative kicked in, Sadie began hallucinating.  She was so far from reality, that it was not evident if everything she was dreaming was actually real  or just a bad night

excerpt: Prologue

Sadie sat on her hospital bed wondering how she got there.   She looked all around the large room, and began to place her arm on the cold metal brass of the bed.   She noticed how the nurses would come in and out the door.  As she layed, there quietly, her heart began to race rather rapidly.  It only took a few minutes before all that had transpired the night before came back to her.   Suddenly, she began to scream very loudly. The loud screams overwhelmed the entire floor.   It did not take very long for the hospital staff to come into her room.  As they tried to calm Sadie down, she tried to get away by kicking and trying to bite the nurses in the room. After a period of what seemed forever, a male nurse came in and gave her a sedative to calm her down.    Sadie again seemed like she was in another world.  She could not grasp what was happening to her.    It all appeared so confusing and she felt as if it was in a nightmare. Later, everything began to get hazy again.
