Writing blog By Sylvia Stein

I was recently asked by Author and friend Emerald Barnes to answer the following
questions.
What are you working on?
I am working on my Nano novel Clarity now that Closure is out.
How does your work differ from others of its genre? Well my work differs from others because I try to focus on characters that needed to find some type of resolve and go through some type of transformation as they go through their journey.
For example my novella Closure talks about abuse and it tells the story of a young girl who loses her mother to cancer and then her father becomes an alcoholic and makes her life unbearable and it is about a journey for both of them. Then Clarity was inspired when in last year in July 2013 I woke up to the news that a beloved character from one of my favorite show Glee had passed on.
I then began this story in November for Nano and created Mia Gerard who has lost her fiancĂ©e Leo Dancy and begins to try and rebuild her life by leaving her hometown of Michigan and moving to New Y…

Hello Everyone, Thanks to everyone for supporting my page!   My name is Sylvia Stein, and I just wanted to say   what an exciting year it has been!  I was able to publish two anthologies with my LinkedIn Writers 750 Group. The first anthology is entitled, Justice for Ana it can be found in the book  Giant Tales Beyond The Mystic Doors and the second Anthology is entitled, Mad about Science and this can be found in the book  Giant Tales from The Misty Swamp.   You  can find them  on amazon.   I highly recommend these books for people on the go! As much as I loved participating in the anthologies,  I have also been hard at work preparing my own novels for publication.  I am thrilled  to share some very exciting news.  For the past 10 months I have been working on my first solo novella entitled,  Closure. This story began in one of my writing classes that I was taking at Southern New Hampshire University for my Master’s in Creative Writing.   I always thought this story could expand int…
