New excerpt

Sadie Carlyle awoke in a state of despair when she awoke from the hospital.  She
immediately began screaming very loudly.  She was so out of control that a strong
sedative was required to calm her down.   Her long red hair looked so dry, as she layed
in the hospital bed.   Her eyes looked so pale as they began to close slowly.   Her
emotions were so intense that you cold see the puffiness in her face from all the
hysterical crying.   It was so hard to believe that Sadie was once a captivating blue eyed
red head that captivated a room with her profound beauty.   As she lay in her bed, her
nose began to bleed.
“Here he comes again screaming at me always  terrifying me why can’t he see that it is hurting me”!

“Always terrifying me why can’t he see that he is hurting me”!
“ Mrs. Carlyle , Mrs. Carlyle called a man in a dark suit.  Yes she said as the man began
to question her.
“Can you please tell us what happened on the night of May 27, 2010”?
“ Mrs. Carlyle, are you okay? , the man in the dark suit asked again.
I am fine , she said quickly and then from across the room a woman objected.
“ Your honor is this really necessary"?   The room felt very crowded and as Sadie found
herself on the witness stand, she tried to make herself relax.  Sadie closed her eyes, as
she overheard the attorney pleading with the judge.

Excerpt : John Marshall Law School

The day finally arrived.  I  was going to be attending John Marshall Law School in Atlanta.    This was one of the proudest moments of my father’s life.   He was absolutely thrilled, that his  only child, a daughter had been accepted.    This made my father very happy and he just thought  it was so poetic, that I would soon be a member of such an elite group as he was.  After all, my father Jackson Martin had been an alumni of John Marshall Law School and  maintained a perfect 4.0 gpa and had been one of the top in his class.   He always wanted  to keep his legacy going and now all eyes were on me.    I was excited in being able to finally start at John Marshall so that I could finally have my  freedom or so I thought. You see my father did not like the fact that I had chosen to live with my boyfriend Dante  Caryle.  He was furious and always had his reservations about our relationship.   To say that my father and I were at a crossroads

Before We say I do by Author Emerald Barnes Review

I really loved this short story of Before We Say I do by Emerald Barnes. Wow. This book which brings back the beloved characters of Emerald Barnes best selling novel, " Entertaining Angels, was so beautifully written and captured. Author Barnes is able to capture the big day approaching for Madison and Chase. It is the big day of their wedding and just when you thought you has seen the last of Zach. He is there to support his friends but mainly Chase and the relationship that has been broken between him and his father. Chase's father has just arrived and Zach is trying to help them both make a fresh start. Meanwhile Madison wants everything to work out for her future husband and love. This was a beautiful YA story full of love, emotion and faith. Emerald Barnes has done it again! It was amazing.  I must add I read the first version of this book and I am so in love with this new one.   I think it only enhanced on the story so much more.    My Rating was 5 stars!

Hello everyone, I wanted to share a tease of my upcoming book which I am working very hard on:  This is my WIP: I hope you enjoy! Shades of a Battered Mind  by Sylvia Stein  Chapter 1   “ The Normal Life “ As I lie here holding on to my sanity.   I have to say never in a million years would I have thought all would turn out the way it did.   You see for most of my life I had been searching and hoping that one day I would find the one  and be able to finally lead a “ normal life.”  However nothing could be farther from the truth.  My name is Sadie Martin Carlyle and  on May 27, 2010 I was charged with the murder of my husband Dante Carlyle.   The thing that makes this so horrific is that  I do not even remember  committing the crime.    All I know is that when I awoke the next morning,  My husband Dante was dead and I was found  next to his body and the murder weapon.   As of now all I can do is await my trial which will not be for a few months.   Sadly
