Closure: Coming soon!

Hello Everyone,
Thanks to everyone for supporting my page!   My name is Sylvia Stein, and I just wanted to say   what an exciting year it has been!  I was able to publish two anthologies with my LinkedIn Writers 750 Group.
The first anthology is entitled, Justice for Ana it can be found in the book  Giant Tales Beyond The Mystic Doors and the second Anthology is entitled, Mad about Science and this can be found in the book  Giant Tales from The Misty Swamp.   You  can find them  on amazon.   I highly recommend these books for people on the go!
As much as I loved participating in the anthologies,  I have also been hard at work preparing my own novels for publication.  I am thrilled  to share some very exciting news.  For the past 10 months I have been working on my first solo novella entitled,  Closure.
This story began in one of my writing classes that I was taking at Southern New Hampshire University for my Master’s in Creative Writing.   I always thought this story could expand into a bigger story and after talking with a good friend and writer I was convinced that this story needed to be told.  Therefore, I began with a few chapters and then it expanded into a novella.
I have now sent it off to my editor and can finally share the news of bringing this story to all of my readers!
Story Summary:
Sara James was an only child who loved the world and life. Sadly, her world came to a screeching halt upon the news of her mother’s tragic death.
Devastated by the loss of his wife, Garrison neglects his daughter and turns to the bottle for solace.
Desperate to feel loved and wanted, Sara tries to pickup the pieces of what was left of her family. Sadly, no matter how hard she tried, her father continued his lust for the bottle and spiraled down a dark and abusive path.
Once removed from her home, Sara tries to pickup what was left of her life and begins to live again. She becomes a successful caterer and fights to maintain her promise to never look back.
A phone call threatens to end Sara’s promise.
Garrison is on his deathbed and he is asking for his daughter. Will Sara face her father? Will she reject his request or will she finally fight back and tell him what she really thinks of him?
Closure is a must read journey of the heart. Grab your copy in 2014!
Below is the cover created by the wonderful Natasha Brown.   I love the cover, and I  am excited to bring you the novella in the near future!

Excerpt of Battered Mind Chapter 1

Sadie Carlyle awoke in a state of despair when she finally opened her eyes, and noticed that  she was lying in what appeared to be a large hospital bed.   Then,  she immediately began  screaming very loudly.  She was so out of control that a strong sedative was required to calm her  down.   Her long red hair looked so dry, as the sedative took immediate effect.  It was not very  long before her greenish eyes began to close again, her skin looked so pale as the nurse applied  a soft pillow under her neck.   This had been an intense few days for Sadie.   Her emotions    were running so high that you could see the puffiness in her swollen eyes from all the non-stop  crying.   It was so hard to believe that Sadie was once a very attractive green eyed  red head that captivated a room with her profound beauty.  After a few minutes the nurse noticed  that Sadie w...

Excerpt : John Marshall Law School

The day finally arrived.  I  was going to be attending John Marshall Law School in Atlanta.    This was one of the proudest moments of my father’s life.   He was absolutely thrilled, that his  only child, a daughter had been accepted.    This made my father very happy and he just thought  it was so poetic, that I would soon be a member of such an elite group as he was.  After all, my father Jackson Martin had been an alumni of John Marshall Law School and  maintained a perfect 4.0 gpa and had been one of the top in his class.   He always wanted  to keep his legacy going and now all eyes were on me.    I was excited in being able to finally start at John Marshall so that I could finally have my  freedom or so I thought. You see my father did not like the fact that I had chosen to live with my boyfriend Dante  Caryle.  He was furious and always had his re...
