4 Year old is the superhero the world needs #WAWTB

We are the World Blogfest” (#WATWB ) post. The #WATWB was inspired by a simple conversation about how all the negativity on social media was weighing on us. Wanting to make a difference we decided to try to do our part to infuse social media with all the good stories that are out there. We hope to share the stories that show kindness, compassion, hope, overcoming challenges and in general, the impressive resilience of the human spirit. For every dark, negative story out there, there is a positive, heartwarming story that will add some light and lift the human spirit.  Each month we bring to you the We Are the World Blogfest, and I Sylvia  Stein https://sylviasteinswritingcorner.blogspot.com/  along with these fabulous co-hosts and, Inderpreet Uppal  www.inderpreetuppal.com,  Shilpa Garg,  http://shilpaagarg.com/ Damyanti Biswas,  https://www.damyantiwrites.com/ and Simon Falk, https://simonfalk28.wordpress.com/

For this week I am focusing on a story taken from Humankind stories from Facebook about a 4-year-old boy named Austin Perine, who is the superhero the world needs.   His superpower is being kind.

Even with his young age,  Austin's motto says it all,   " Show love."    His message is to feed the homeless.    He says,  " Everyone deserves love."

This story resonated with me because when I saw the video on Humankind Stories,

"Austin first learned about homelessness when he was two years old. He attempted to run away from home with a bag and his dad’s watch. His dad, T.J. Perine, took the opportunity to teach Austin about homelessness."

His dad says,  " This sparked so many questions in my son and so I had to take him and teach him about the homeless."

T.J was skeptical about taking him down there but knew how important it was for his son.

" It started as a once a week trip became daily trip and he feeds the homeless people in Mobile Alabama."

Austin Perine dresses up as a superhero and uses as mentioned his allowance to buy chicken sandwiches to the homeless people in the area and spreads love to all of them.   He is known to them as, " President Austin."

Overall this story moved me because of how such a young child can spread so much love and kindness which is exactly what we all need right now.

Excerpt : John Marshall Law School

The day finally arrived.  I  was going to be attending John Marshall Law School in Atlanta.    This was one of the proudest moments of my father’s life.   He was absolutely thrilled, that his  only child, a daughter had been accepted.    This made my father very happy and he just thought  it was so poetic, that I would soon be a member of such an elite group as he was.  After all, my father Jackson Martin had been an alumni of John Marshall Law School and  maintained a perfect 4.0 gpa and had been one of the top in his class.   He always wanted  to keep his legacy going and now all eyes were on me.    I was excited in being able to finally start at John Marshall so that I could finally have my  freedom or so I thought. You see my father did not like the fact that I had chosen to live with my boyfriend Dante  Caryle.  He was furious and always had his reservations about our relationship.   To say that my father and I were at a crossroads

Before We say I do by Author Emerald Barnes Review

I really loved this short story of Before We Say I do by Emerald Barnes. Wow. This book which brings back the beloved characters of Emerald Barnes best selling novel, " Entertaining Angels, was so beautifully written and captured. Author Barnes is able to capture the big day approaching for Madison and Chase. It is the big day of their wedding and just when you thought you has seen the last of Zach. He is there to support his friends but mainly Chase and the relationship that has been broken between him and his father. Chase's father has just arrived and Zach is trying to help them both make a fresh start. Meanwhile Madison wants everything to work out for her future husband and love. This was a beautiful YA story full of love, emotion and faith. Emerald Barnes has done it again! It was amazing.  I must add I read the first version of this book and I am so in love with this new one.   I think it only enhanced on the story so much more.    My Rating was 5 stars!

Shades of a Battered Mind by: Sylvia Stein

Hello everyone, I wanted to share a tease of my upcoming book which I am working very hard on:  This is my WIP: I hope you enjoy! Shades of a Battered Mind  by Sylvia Stein  Chapter 1   “ The Normal Life “ As I lie here holding on to my sanity.   I have to say never in a million years would I have thought all would turn out the way it did.   You see for most of my life I had been searching and hoping that one day I would find the one  and be able to finally lead a “ normal life.”  However nothing could be farther from the truth.  My name is Sadie Martin Carlyle and  on May 27, 2010 I was charged with the murder of my husband Dante Carlyle.   The thing that makes this so horrific is that  I do not even remember  committing the crime.    All I know is that when I awoke the next morning,  My husband Dante was dead and I was found  next to his body and the murder weapon.   As of now all I can do is await my trial which will not be for a few months.   Sadly
